The On Demand Replay of Pro MMA Radio’s interview with New York Assemblyman Bob Reilly is ready now and available for our listeners 24/7. In The Opening Round, Pep recapped the blockbuster event that was UFC 126 and made a special announcement that former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans will be joining the show to do a monthly segment entitled “Suga and Pep” covering the major issues in mixed martial arts.
New York State Assemblyman Bob Reilly is identified as the chief opponent to the legalization of mixed martial arts in the State, openly and consistently arguing against the sport for a number of theoretical and economic reasons. Assemblyman Reilly sat down with Pep for the self-admitted longest interview he’s ever done on the subject as the two engaged in a spirited debate of all the issues pertaining to the legalization of MMA in New York. Safety, the encouragement of violent behavior, MMA’s rules and regulations as well as a host of economic and political issues that may be influencing the issue were all dealt with in a 60 minute debate that saw some surprises and facts presented that Reilly had never truly been confronted with.
In The Opening Round, we’ll have a full recap of the stacked UFC 126 Superbowl Saturday card at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Sin City.
