The last two weekend’s have seen judging controversy rear its ugly head at both the Strikeforce and most recent Bellator events as Keith Jardine and Gegard Mousasi fought to a draw and Joe Warren was awarded a unanimous decision over Marcos Galvao. Who better to dissect the judging criteria in the Unified Rules of MMA than New Jersey State Athletic Commission Counsel Nick Lembo? Mr. Lembo was there when the rules were adopted, when the first event was held under the rules in 2000 and oversees judges and referees for the prestigious NJ Commission. Lembo will also discuss some of the often misquoted and misreported facts that center around the actual adoption of rules over a decade ago.
